Chilkoot Lake State Park combines glacier-fed water, rainforest mountains and reliable wildlife viewing — bears fishing for salmon, bald eagles overhead and seals in the lake. It is the signature Haines shore excursion for cruise passengers who want pristine Alaska without Skagway-scale crowds.
